Instructions
1. Position thumb on bass strings (E, A, D) and fingers on treble strings (G, B, E) 2. Start with thumb only - alternate between root note and fifth of chord 3. Add index finger on beat 2 and 4, plucking the G string 4. Add middle finger on offbeats, plucking the B string 5. Pattern: Thumb(bass) - Index(G) - Thumb(bass) - Middle(B) 6. Keep steady quarter note pulse with thumb 7. Focus on finger independence - thumb stays consistent while fingers add melody 8. Practice chord changes while maintaining the picking pattern
